Where to? Art Gallery / City / Society” is the title of the exhibition that opened yesterday at the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, where artists, architects, designers, urban planners, and scientists who deal with topics such as green cities, urban mobility, sustainable construction, active democracy, cultural participation, and the role and responsibility of culture in this complex structure will share their innovative ideas, projects, and visions with visitors. Amelie Ikas and Jony Kuhlmann from the OIMD have developed a 50-square-meter contribution with numerous projects, videos, and exhibits that focus on the institute’s research and projects.
Where to? asks about perspectives for the city of the future and focuses on the central challenges of social coexistence in our time. The focus is not only on the problems, but above all on creative solutions and forward-looking ideas from a wide range of actors. The exhibition is not intended as a finished presentation, but as an open, evolving project space. It brings together ideas, experiments, and suggestions and invites visitors to think and develop together.
