Climate change and the scarcity of resources, as well as the ever-increasing amount of traffic, make it essential to develop new solutions for environmentally friendly and people-friendly mobility. This is also a particular challenge for the design disciplines of architecture and design.
At the Architektur Galerie Berlin, we are presenting our new publications, which show in different ways how this new mobility can be designed:
The two-volume publication “Mobility Design – Shaping the Future of Mobility” has been published by Jovis Verlag. Volume 1 presents over 60 pioneering projects from the fields of design, architecture and urban planning. Volume 2 brings together research from the fields of design, architecture/urban planning, social sciences, transportation planning, psychology and communication technology.
Finally, the digital Mobility Design Guide is a demonstration and exploration of a method of human-centered mobility design.
The publications were produced in the cross-university research cluster “Infrastructure – Design – Society”, which was funded by the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and the Arts (LOEWE state program).
